# Hardware Hosting

The process of Bitcoin mining hardware sourcing, hosting, and ensuring stable output of compute is complex and often inaccessible to regular community members. Prosper works with industry partners to enable proper execution with transparency:

* **Mining hardware** sourced from top-tier manufacturer, and ownership of the mining hardware will be assigned to Prosper’s DAO foundation
* **Hosting services** **provider** allows us to place the hardware in their facilities. Mining hardware is still owned by the DAO but physically housed and maintained by the hosting provider in their data centers
  * Service agreement in place between the protocol and the provider, who takes care of all the physical infrastructure, such as cooling, electricity, security, and internet connectivity required to ensure miners run steadily
* The live miners will be configured to connect and commit their computing power with mining pools provided by leading mining platforms
* Hashrate live with the mining pool to produce Bitcoin, and through Prosper’s mining pool account API, **live performance and production statistics** will be displayed on v1 app

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.prosper-fi.com/protocol-mechanics/hashrate-operation/hardware-hosting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
